Why did you choose agricultural studies? Agricultural Studies is like the melting pot of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The curriculum is designed to let the student choose the classes that they are interested in. Why let someone else pick the classes you will take when you are the one paying for them?

What surprised you the most about Iowa State? The quality of the people. Coming from out-of-state, I felt like I fit in quickly because everyone was friendly and easy going. Making the transition of being away from home was streamlined because of the personalized connections I had with friends and faculty.
What advice do you have for incoming students? Take advantage of all ISU has to offer. Be as social as possible. The people you meet today will be the friends you network with the rest of your life. Four years goes by fast!
