Jackson II, R. E. (2005). A profile of secondary urban agricultural education programs. Master’s thesis.

The purpose of this study was to develop a comprehensive profile of urban secondary agricultural education programs. The study also sought to describe the overall programmatic characteristics of urban secondary agricultural education programs. Twenty urban secondary agricultural education programs were selected. The specific objectives of the study were to:

  1. Identify perceptions of teachers of selected urban programs of agriculture regarding selected elements of these programs.
  2. Identify the variety of courses taught in selected urban secondary agricultural education programs.
  3. Identify the profile of students in selected urban programs in agriculture and their involvement in FFA.
  4. Identify FFA career development events in which urban agriculture students participate.
  5. Identify major FFA and SAE activities conducted by selected urban agricultural education programs.
