Jacob is the farm operator for the AG450 Farm, which is the base of operations for the AGEDS450 course, the capstone for the Agricultural Studies: Production Option. He oversees day to day operations of the 800 acre row crop and swine production farm that has management decisions incorporated by the capstone class. He also is an advisor to the Farm Operations Club. Jacob grew up near Charter Oak, Iowa and attended high school in nearby Denison, Iowa. He attended Iowa State University majoring in Agricultural Studies and minoring in Agronomy. He has an extensive background working with pigs, cattle, goats and grain. Prior to beginning his role with the 450 farm, Jacob worked as an agronomy salesperson.
