Teacher Education

The teacher certification option in agricultural life sciences education prepares you to become an educator in agricultural and life sciences. There are many teaching opportunities available because of a shortage of agriculture and life science teachers in Iowa and nationwide.

Career opportunities extend beyond formal teaching. A degree in agricultural life sciences education also provides a solid background in food, agriculture and natural resources and prepares you for positions in agricultural business, commodity organizations and governmental agencies.
