Field Experiences are academic experiences that occur outside the classroom and provide students an opportunity for experiential learning. Various field experiences allow students to connect their coursework and degree programs to their future careers. It is important to know that students earn academic credit for the learning that occurs and is documented by completing self-assessments, developing competencies, creating presentations, and other academic work in connection with their experience. Credit is not earned simply by having a work experience.
Policies, procedures, and instructors differ for each section.
