We welcome transfer students and have made great efforts to collaborate with community colleges to make the transfer process as efficient as possible. College faculty and staff visit multiple community colleges annually to maintain a strong working network, leading to an efficient and effective student transfer process.
Incoming transfer students are scheduled into courses with other incoming transfer students to aid in the transition and networking of new students. Transfer students are encouraged to quickly join student organizations and activities on campus as well as secure internships to expand upon their classroom experiences.
Transfer plans have been developed with all Iowa community colleges and several community colleges in the surrounding state. Future students are encouraged to use these transfer plans in consultation with advisors at their transfer institution. Students are also encouraged to work with an advisor at ISU to review courses and transferability on an ongoing basis by contacting Ben Chamberlain or Nate Dobbels.
